My name is John, and I love trains. I hold my wooden train up high, and it zooms all the way round the rug.

01

Personal to your child

Every story stars your child by name, with the people, pets, and comfort objects they love.

02

Prepares, not just entertains

Each book walks through what will happen, names the feelings that come with it, and gives your child a plan they can try.

03

Ends on their strength

The story opens and closes with something your child already does well, so they finish it feeling capable.

Made for every kind of mind

Tell us how your child experiences the world, and we adapt how the book is written and illustrated. It works for every child, and it's written with autistic children, children with ADHD, and children who are sensitive to noise, light or change especially in mind.

The book adapts to your child. It never labels them.

One book, one price

A finished PDF of your child's personalized book, normally within 5 days, plus an A4 version with trim marks for printing at home.

How your book is made

  1. Step 1

You tell us about your child

Five short steps: who your child is, what's coming up, how they feel about it, and (if you like) a few photos.

  2. Step 2

    AI drafts, Katharina shapes it

We use AI tools to draft the story and create the illustrations. Katharina then edits, adjusts and reviews every page by hand, and nothing is sent until she's happy with it.

  3. Step 3

    Your book arrives by email

A finished PDF, normally within 5 days, to read on any device or print at home. Your photos are deleted when the book is delivered.

Common questions

How long does it take?
Normally within 5 days of payment. If Katharina has a question about your answers, or it will take longer, she emails you.
What if something isn't right?
Tell us within 14 days of receiving the book and we'll make one round of small changes free of charge: a word, the spelling of a name, a detail in a picture. If the book doesn't match what you told us in your order, tell us when you notice: we'll correct it, or give a fair price reduction if that's no longer possible.
Can I print it?
Yes. You get the book as a PDF for screens and as an A4 version with trim marks for printing at home: print at actual size, trim along the marks, and you have a 19 × 19 cm picture book.
Do I have to add photos?
No. Without photos, your child and the places are drawn from your descriptions. With photos, your child appears as themselves and the real places are drawn in. Photos are deleted when the book is delivered.
My child's topic isn't in the list.
Choose "Something else…" and describe it in a few words. Almost anything a child needs to prepare for or understand can be a book. The exception is a frightening experience your child has been through, which needs a different kind of help: Why stories help.
Is this therapy?
No. It's an educational storybook written for your child, drafted with AI and edited and reviewed by Katharina. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything. If you're worried about your child, talk to a health professional.
Which languages?
English and Norwegian (Bokmål). You choose the book's language in the first step; it doesn't have to match the language you're reading this site in.

Meet the author

Every book is shaped and personally reviewed by Katharina Dolan before it reaches your family.

Katharina has worked with children, families and schools in England, Germany, Norway and South Africa. She studied psychology at Bournemouth University and the University of Bergen, holds an MSc in Lifespan Neuropsychology, is trained in widely used cognitive assessments for children and adults, and has a postgraduate diploma in applied ethics from Stellenbosch University.

She speaks English, German and Norwegian, and as a mother she knows how big life's changes can feel, from a child's side and from a parent's. Her aim is simple: to meet each child where they are, and give them a story that helps them feel ready for what comes next.
